YOU4MI Combating gender violence against women| Training Workshop for Youth Workers in Italy

A 1^st Transnational Training Workshop gathers 28 youth workers from Italy, Bulgaria, Portugal, Spain, Colombia, El Salvador and Nigeria. The workshop is hosted in Palermo (Italy) for 8 days thanks to the support of the staff and volunteers of CISS.

Working methods / Contents & Approaches: The contents of the workshop will be structured in order to enhance the knowledge of the youth workers on the gender dimensions of trafficking, forced migration and sexual exploitation; participatory sessions will be organized to strengthen the skills of the youth workers in using new non formal learning tools to prevent the exposition of young women and girls to the above mentioned forms of violence; during the workshop, space will be given to he intercultural debate among the youth workers to encourage the exchange of good practices in this field. The workshop is conducted with participatory, non formal and intercultural methodologies with the support of the trainers put at disposal by CISS and the members of the “Palermo Anti-trafficking Network”.
