DESCRIPTION:The workshop “Gender on the Move” in an activity of the project “Gender Perspective in EU Mobility Programs”\, promoted by TOG – Toplum Gönüllüleri Vakfı | Community Volunteers Foundation (Turkey)\, in partnership with REDE de Jovens para a Igualdade (Portugal)\, EURO-NET (Italy)\, United Societies of Balkans (Greece) and Yasar University (Turkey) and funded by the Erasmus+ Programme. \nMobility Programs mobilize many young people throughout Europe and provide them several excellent opportunities and various benefits. At the same time\, gender discrimination is a global issue and it affects young women’s and LGBTIs’ lives all around the world. Especially being a young foreign woman or a LGBTI+ means facing many different challenges which might set them apart from their heterosexual men peers. In order to improve their mobility experience\, it’s essential to explore those challenges and to get to know their needs and expectations. \nThe workshop “Gender on the Move” aims to gather young women or LGBTI+ (foreigners and portuguese) who would like to share common and different aspects of their mobility experience\, to know more about mechanisms of response to gender-based discrimination and gender-based violence\, to work on recommendations for the future and to create a support network with people who share the same concerns and expectations. \nProgram\n10h00 – 10h45 – Who is here?\n10h45 – 12h15 – Sharing experiences on mobility programs\n12h15 – 13h00 – The situation of foreing young women and LGBTI+ in Portugal\n13h00 – 14h30 – Lunch\n14h30 – 16h00 – Recommendations\n16h00 – 16h15 – Coffee-Break\n16h15 – 17h00 – Supporting each other\n17h00 – 17h30 – Evaluation\n17h30 – 18h00 – See you soon! \nWho can apply?\nYoung women or LGBTI+ who have participated\, are participating in a EU mobility program\, such as European Voluntary Service\, Erasmus+ internships\, Erasmus+ students and others. \nLogistics Conditions\nExpenses of transport are reimbursed by REDE de Jovens para a Igualdade.
