SUMMARY:PpDM paralel event at the CSW64 | Combating sexual violence of women in the CPLP: BfA\, SDG5 and SDG16
DESCRIPTION:In the Portuguese Speaking countries-community (9 countries; CPLP) women and girls are particularly affected by sexual violence. According to the former Director\, in these countries “remains a culture of physical and psychological violence against women and girls. Domestic violence\, forced and/or early marriages\, female genital mutilation (…)\, among others\, are part of the daily lives of millions of women and girls.” \nConsidering the critical area of the BfA on VAW\, SGD 5 and 16\, and the UN Spotlight Initiative (Mozambique)\, the event aims at: \n\nsharing information about the reality of women and girls in the 9 countries and debating on preventing and combating online and offline sexual violence;\nand continuing previous CSW gathering of exchange among activists and decision-makers of the CPLP.\n\nCancelado devido à pandemia COVID-19
